Chairman, Managing Director
Paul R. Dorf is the Chairman and Managing Director of Compensation Resources, Inc. (CRI), having established this firm in 1989. He is responsible for defining CRI’s overall vision and strategy, and serves as mentor and advisor to the firm’s professional staff. Along with his strategic role, Mr. Dorf consults with clients and provides expert witness services that reflect on over 45 years of experience.
Along with over 25 years of consulting success with CRI, Mr. Dorf has held various executive positions with a number of large corporate organizations and an acute care hospital. His experience includes direct consulting as head of the executive compensation consulting practices for major accounting and actuarial/benefit consulting firms, including KPMG, Deloitte Touche (formerly Touche Ross) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Kwasha Lipton).
Since 1972, Mr. Dorf has also provided compensation consulting expertise to various law firms and the government, and he qualifies as an expert witness in compensation and related matters. Mr. Dorf has provided expert opinion and has testified in numerous litigation support cases in both federal and state courts.
Mr. Dorf received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in industrial relations from the University of Bridgeport and the College of William and Mary, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in personnel, labor relations from Hofstra University. He has also taught various human resource and compensation courses at colleges and universities as a visiting instructor or adjunct professor.
Mr. Dorf is widely quoted in newspapers and business publications, and has appeared on numerous televised business programs. He has been a featured speaker at professional conferences throughout the United States and internationally, including the American Management Association, WorldatWork and the Society for Human Resource Management, as well as many other professional and business associations.
Mr. Dorf was awarded an Accredited Personnel Diplomat (APD), the highest level of personnel accreditation by the American Society for Personnel Administration (ASPA), and the Lifetime Achievement Award by WorldatWork, a membership organization of total rewards professionals.
Pamela Dorf is the President and Co-Founder of CRI. Ms. Dorf is responsible for the administrative departments of the company, including general oversight of the finance and accounting functions.
Ms. Dorf formerly held executive positions in the retail and wholesale garment industry and was the Founder, Owner and Chief Executive Officer of a retail clothing company.
Ms. Dorf holds a BS degree from St. Peter’s College. She is active in various charities.
Mary A. Rizzuti, CCP, PHR, SHRM-CP
Mary A. Rizzuti is a Principal and the Chief Executive Officer of CRI. Ms. Rizzuti has been with CRI since 1997 and has over 20 years of compensation experience.
As Project Manager for consulting assignments, Ms. Rizzuti has extensive experience within the not-for-profit and private company sectors and provides clients with comprehensive consulting in the areas of Executive Compensation, Salary Administration, Sales Compensation, and Performance Management, and advises Senior Management and Boards of Directors on applying best practices and market data within their organizations. She also leads our Training Institute, delivering customized compensation and human resources training to senior leadership and human resources professionals. Ms. Rizzuti also manages CRI’s Litigation Support Practice and is responsible for overseeing activities relating to research, analysis, and expert report development, as well as developing litigation support case methodologies.
In her role as Chief Executive Officer, she is also responsible for executing the firm’s vision and strategic plan, while continuing to develop relationships with the firm’s wide range of privately-held, publicly-traded, and not-for-profit clients.
Prior to her assignment with CRI, she was employed by Sidley Austin, LLP (formerly Brown & Wood) in New York as a training coordinator and paralegal. Ms. Rizzuti graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Dominican College. Ms. Rizzuti holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications, and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is also a member of WorldatWork, and holds the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. She was a member of Vistage Worldwide, Inc. for four (4) years. Ms. Rizzuti also sat on the Board of a local not-for-profit organization from March, 2014 to June, 2015, and currently is a volunteer for the Elizabeth Seton Women’s Center. Previous member of the Bergen Chapter of the Women Presidents’ Organization from April, 2018 to April, 2019.
Diana D. Neelman, CCP, SHRM-CP
Diana D. Neelman is a Principal and the Executive Vice President of CRI, and has been with the firm for over 23 years. With over 28 years of collective compensation and human resources experience, Ms. Neelman is responsible for business development and project management in all areas of compensation, consulting to a variety of industries on salary administration, performance management and incentive compensation, with a specific emphasis on executive and general compensation matters within not-for-profit organizations. Ms. Neelman is also responsible for developing and conducting training programs covering various compensation topics, presenting to both clients and to the external marketplace. Furthermore, she oversees CRI’s Survey Department, which publishes various compensation studies each year.
Prior to her assignment with CRI, she was employed as a Human Resource Generalist for Citizens First National Bank/NatWest Bank (currently Bank of America), and was responsible for various functions including compensation and benefits, HRIS and recruitment. Ms. Neelman received a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Binghamton. In addition, she is a current member of WorldatWork and maintains the designation of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and maintains the designation of SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
Sara D. Schmidt, CCP, PHR, SHRM-CP
Sara D. Schmidt is a Senior Consultant with CRI. Ms. Schmidt has 20 years of compensation consulting experience, with a focus in the healthcare, not-for-profit, insurance, and manufacturing industries. She is responsible for business development and providing consulting services related to the design and implementation of compensation and human resources programs, with specific expertise in developing salary administration and performance management programs, as well as executive compensation matters within the not-for-profit arena. Ms. Schmidt also conducts training programs on the use of these programs.
Ms. Schmidt graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Rochester. Ms. Schmidt maintains the designations of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Ms. Schmidt is a member of WorldatWork and the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
