Compensation Resources, Inc. Releases Its 2013 Salary Survey of College Graduates and Interns

Upper Saddle River, NJ – May 14, 2013 – Compensation Resources, Inc. (CRI)has released the results of its 2013 Salary Survey of College Graduates and Interns. Data was collected between February and April and results were compiled from survey questions that were developed by Compensation Resources, Inc. and distributed to companies in all industrial classifications, broken down among six categories. There were 129 organizations that participated in this study.
Compensation data is reported as of February 1, 2013 in the following dimensions:
- 25th and 75th percentiles
- Reported minimum and maximum
his survey also reports the hourly wage for interns in 13 departments. Each department is broken out by the college year completed.
Results show that 2013 overall starting salaries for Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree recipients increased 2% compared to the 2012 survey. Of the eleven departments represented in the survey, the three highest paying departments are:
- Business, Finance, and Math
- Computers and Web Related
- Science, Engineering, Architecture
Also, some of the top functional areas organizations are hiring include: Accounting, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Sales. Over 80% of organizations said they will be hiring either the same number of graduates as last year (62.6%) or more than last year (20.3%).
