Paul R. Dorf was the Founder and Chairman of Compensation Resources, Inc. (CR). Under his leadership from 1989 until its acquisition by EisnerAmper in 2020, the firm built a strong reputation for delivering pragmatic, performance-driven compensation strategies to organizations nationwide.
He was widely regarded as an expert in his field and often served as an expert witness in federal and state courts on compensation-related matters. Prior to founding Compensation Resources, Paul led executive compensation practices at several major firms, including PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Kwasha Lipton), Deloitte Touche (formerly Touche Ross), and KPMG.
Paul held adjunct and visiting professor positions at several institutions, most notably at Seton Hall University, where he taught for over a decade. He was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from WorldatWork and held the Accredited Personnel Diplomat (APD) title from American Society of Personnel Administration (ASPA).
A former U.S. Marine Corps Captain, Paul was also active in community organizations including the Boy Scouts and the Saddle River Valley Lions Club.
Paul’s strong work ethic, sense of humor, generosity, and kind heart will live on in the threads of CR.
