A recent conference by Ayco, examined the most significant concerns affecting Human Resources.  One concern was with Identifying and recruiting the right individuals, while attempting to recognize diversity.  Having the right compensation in place is critical if you are going to attract the best candidates.  The regulations no longer allow you to ask a candidate how much are they making.  Offers should be based on their education, experience, and qualifications, and not on their age, color, race, religion, sex, or any of the other restricted characteristic.  In order to know what to pay, it is extremely important to have a good handle on the competitive market.
