Position Description Development

During position description development, we would either create position descriptions or review whatever positions descriptions are currently available and update them as required. Additionally, we recommend giving employees the opportunity to revise their old position descriptions, on an as-needed basis. Our experience has shown that sharing the responsibility for reviewing and updating the position descriptions with the employees provides a better and more realistic end-product, builds ownership for the project with them, and gives more credibility to the entire process. We will utilize Position Description Questionnaires (PDQ's) in conjunction with any existing position descriptions as the primary method of collecting and updating the job-related data, where necessary. The reviewed and updated position descriptions will be utilized as the basis of market pricing the positions relative to the external labor market.
