Compensation Resources, Inc. is pleased to present the results of our inaugural 2009 Executive Compensation Survey of Privately-Held Companies. The purpose of this study was to obtain compensation data of twelve key executive positions from small to mid-sized privately-held companies. Data was collected between May and July and results were compiled from survey questions that were developed by Compensation Resources, Inc. and distributed to companies in all industrial classifications, broken down among eleven categories. There were fifty-six organizations that participated in this study.
This survey was designed specifically for privately-held companies with revenues below $1 billion, to provide more targeted compensation data for corporate revenues below that mark. Based on responses received, four (4) revenue range categories were developed for reporting compensation results:
- Up to $25 Million
- $25.1 - $50.0 Million
- $50.1 - $200.0 Million
- $200.1 - $800.0 Million
Compensation data is reported as of June 1, 2009 in the following dimensions:
- Average
- Median
- 25th and 75th percentiles
- Reported minimum and maximum
This survey also reports the prevalence of various programs and practices relative to executive compensation, covering annual incentives, long-term incentives, various perquisites, supplemental benefits, and agreements.
